You can not leave us hanging like that with the novel or the story about why the novel is not out. I want both. I want to do what I can to get this out. Who do we contact? What is your editor's name? Is he pushing Putnam to put it out? What is the deal here? We need some Cold Drank.

Do they go back to 2011? What happens with the computer? Is Baize the woman he ends up with?

Anonymous, that's a good idea. I've been reluctant to go public with what's happening over there with the book and maybe some emails or whatever from folks who have read some of the book would help. I will say that someone over there doesn't think there's an audience for this book and is convinced it needs to be changed so that librarians and middle school teachers will like it. Anyway, I probably said too much. Back to the lab. Thank all of you for checking it out.

Donald F, what makes you think this is only for Southern African American readers. I'm a white girl from Maine and I read it. Its easily the best thing Ive read this summer and I can't wait for the rest. Does the fact that it could translate for readers who aren't Southern or African American make it less authentic?

If we want to see this in print, we have to contact the publisher: G.P. Putnam's Sons Books for Young Readers. We have to email or call them asking for a publication date and to stress that we have to see it in print soon!

Can't say it's dope like that. Haven't read it all. It does seem like the kind of book you could give to kids who hate reading and adults. Respect due.
