I've been reluctant to go public with what's happening over there with the book and maybe some emails or whatever from folks who have read some of the book would help. I will say that someone over there doesn't think there's an audience for this book and is convinced it needs to be changed so that librarians and middle school teachers will like it. I'm a white girl from Maine and I read it. Its easily the best thing Ive read this summer and I can't wait for the rest.
